The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

With general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. Caning in delicate condition, one chair with caning torn. All three chairs with spotting and streaking from water. One chair with a crack to the left ear, another with a crack to the right ear. One with a scratch to the crest rail, about 3 in. long. Some chair legs with horizontal bands of lost finish, perhaps due to previous packing.
Minor areas of dirt accumulation in crevices.
