Fell to Earth in Siberia, Russia in 1947
this is a fine representation originating from the largest meteorite shower since the dawn of civilization—the Sikhote Alin event of February 12, 1947. The sample has a variegated platinum-hued patina. The specimen is draped in regmaglypts (indentations produced during the meteorite’s fiery plunge through the atmosphere).
