Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Bronze with a gold patina. Rubbing to the extreme edges, consistent with handling. On close inspection there are some small spots of oxidation, predominantly to the reverse of the sitter's head. There are some cracks to the bronze in the crevices which appear to be from the time of casting. There is some residue from the casting process in the crevices of the sculpture. Surface dirt throughout. Subject to the above it is our opinion that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
