The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache on paper. Not examined out of the mount. The sheet is presented under an acidic window mount from which we would advise removal, and appears to have some light acidic staining to the sheet. On close inspection there is a very tiny horizontal tear to the upper right edge of the sheet, measuring approx 1. cm. There is some craquelure and associated tiny losses in areas of the thicker impasto. Subject to the above it is our opinion that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
