The Italian Model

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas laid on board. Not examined out of the frame. Artist's pinholes to the lower left corner and upper left corner and at some places along the upper edge. On close inspection there are some creases to the canvas and associated rubbing to the paint surface. Examined under ultra-violet light there is a thick layer of varnish making the painting hard to read but there appear to be some soft spots of fluorescence in scattered areas. Subject to the above it is our opinion that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
