The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on canvas in the artist’s frame. The artist appears to have strip-lined his canvas. The upper edge with two artist’s pinholes. On close examination, some very minor losses to the extreme edges and a small paint loss to the lower right quadrant. Some fine paint cracking predominantly in the thicker black and red pigments and some small areas of fine paint separation to the lower right quadrant. When examined under UV light, there are no visible signs of fluorescence. Subject to the above it is our opinion that the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
