The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Ink and gouache on paper. The reverse upper and lower sheet corners are tabbed to a supporting acidic board. The left edge of the sheet is uneven, consistent with removal from a sketchbook. When viewed out of the mount, acidic staining is visible, corresponding to the current housing, from which we would advise removal. Creasing and cockling throughout the sheet. On close examination one or two foxmarks, and some spots of surface dirt to the left of the composition. The ink has faded slightly. Subject to the above, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in good overall condition.
