Overall very good condition with scattered scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use.
Desk presents with scattered marks to the wood, concentrated to the feet, as to be expected from normal use. Vellum is brittle and presents with wear throughout, most noticeable at the seams, and would benefit from professional care. Drawers glide smoothly. Proper right key hole pin is slightly askew and does not lock. This work is accompanied with three keys.
Chair has been reupholstered at some point in the history of the piece and is in very good condition with a few scattered loose threads. Wood frame presents with scattered scratches and marks, concentrated to the feet. Brass sabots present with light tarnishing and scratches, as to be expected from normal use.
