Dennis Clive's work centers on the transportive nature of clay, both literally and evocatively. Clive's 'Bugatti' not only shows motion through the country road scene on the windshield but through his textured treatment of the Clay, which brings a sense of whizzing through a country road.

Overall with scattered scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Front proper right wheel is slightly separated from the car, inherent to the design and in stable condition. Small loss of ceramic to the proper left side (approximately 1 x 1⁄4 in.), partially hidden by wheel and only visible upon close inspection. Presents with scattered irregularities, inherent to the design and this type of material. Hairline crack to the underside of the car, in stable condition and not visible when presented. This work has been professionally and sensitively restored at some point in its history.
