Lot Essay

Ivan Da Silva Bruhns and French interior decorator and designer Jules Leleu collaborated from 1924 to 1935. Leleu's first commission from Da Silva Bruhns was to manufacture carpets for Ecuadorian Ambassador Gonzalo and Isabel Rosales de Zaldumbide's Parisian residence.
