Overall good condition with light surface scratches and minor wear commensurate with age and gentle use. The leather on four cases and a portfolio are decorated with gilt-embossed geometric patterns. The leather surfaces with minor wear and light surface scratches, concentrated to the edges.
Two cases with metal edges with light surface scratches, minor wear, and scattered areas of oxidation as to be expected with aging of this material. One of these cases with a silk lining along the inside with a ¼ in. area of wear.
The small case with cartouche decoration has a silk lining along the interior with slight discoloration and a tear (4 in. long) along the fold.
One small spectacle case with felt lining along the inside with minor wear, slight separation and light discoloration.
The portfolio with minor ink stains (largest approximately ¼ in.) along the top edge of the exterior and interior, only visible upon close inspection. The cloth lining along the spine with minor wear, light fraying and one open seam.
