The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition with scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Seat presents with craquelure throughout the lithographically-transferred decoration. Small losses to the lithographically-transferred decoration (largest is approximately 1⁄4 in.) concentrated to the edges of the seat, as to be expected from normal use. Two raised areas (approximately 1⁄4 in. each) on the seat from an incorrect sized screw, not visually distracting. Legs have possibly been replaced at some point in the history of the chair. Painted wooden legs with paint losses and scuffs, mostly on the feet, as to be expected from normal use. Chair legs are uneven and do not sit flush on floor. A favored design by Fornasetti, ready for use and display.
