The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Two deeper scratches to the transfer-printed decoration (largest is 3 in.), does not detract from the overall presentation. Scattered areas of yellowing on the sides, not visually distracting. Two escutcheons missing revealing worn wood beneath. Brass legs with heavy scratches and wear, as to be expected from normal use. Brass legs possibly replaced at some point in the history of the desk. The interior writing surface illuminates with a modern LED light. With two keys. Presents well, ready for use and display.
