The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition commensurate with age and gentle use. While illuminated, the shade presents with rich amber and persimmon tones. When unlit, the shade has a lovely iridescent surface with light blue and fuchsia tones. The glass presents with minor inclusions and air bubbles inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The shade with light surface scratches and wear concentrated to the rim where the metal hardware rests, not visible when set in place.
The base presents with a russet brown patina. The metal surfaces with minor abrasions, minor wear to the patina, scratches, and scattered areas of light oxidation typical with aging of this material. The metal with some surface irregularities inherent in the making. One screw holding the shade in place is bent but the shade is secure when all three screws are tightened. The bronze washer ring along the top of the harp arm with a minor loss, yet stable. One interior bronze florette-shaped knob has been re-threaded. The base with minor paint drops, red paint along the harp and white paint along the feet, not visually distracting. With replaced switch.
