The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition consistent with age and use. Each piece with blue-green glass and bronze with russet brown and green patina. The glass with light surface scratches, minor wear, and dirt to recessed areas. The metal surfaces with light scratches, minor abrasions, dirt to recessed areas, and scattered areas of light oxidation. The desk lamp with minor scattered areas of white paint along the patina, minor (less than 1⁄8 in.) chips to the glass along the rims of the shade, and socket that appears to be replaced. The paper rack's back glass tile with cracks and slightly bent forward. The rocker blotter with scattered ink stains. The letter opener with glass that is slightly loose in its setting. The pen wipe with removable brush from holder. The paperweight with adhesive residue to underside, minor nicks to bronze and finial, scattered areas of ink stains along the edges and a minor chip to glass. The small square inkwell lacking glass insert. The large square inkwell with two feet with restoration and glass insert marked THE DAVIS NEW YORK PATD MAR 19 OCT 22, 89 FEB.14, 93 JUN.7, 98 NEW YORK along the underside. The small calendar frame, utility box, pen tray and blotter ends with light surface scratches, dirt to recessed areas, and scattered areas of oxidation.
