The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall condition commensurate with age and use. Comprising of one fragment and five additional loose bars. The metal surfaces with scratches, wear, abrasions, oxidation and rust typical with aging of this material. The fragment with some scattered missing elements, bends to the rods, and some rods slightly loose. The five additional bars bent slightly out of alignment. The dimensions of the additional bars are: one 73 x 1 in., two 29 x 1 in. (each), two 36 x ¹⁄₂ in. (each). With more additional fragments from the curved pattern of the door, in many broken pieces. Overall vintage appearance and an iconic part of Chicago's history.
