The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall very good condition. The wood surfaces have been professionally and sensitively refinished with some minor areas of infill and restoration, only visible upon very close inspection. The wood with very few light surface scratches and minor nicks and abrasions concentrated to the high points and legs. Proper left seat back to one chair with several shrinkage cracks with infill, some re-gluing to the joints, and some wear to the varnish, particularly to the high points. The replaced fabric upholstery in very good condition with very light surface dirt and minor pilling to the fabric. The upholstery with very minor areas of discoloration to the seat cushions, only visible upon close inspection. The other chair with minor surface wear to the proper right edge of the backrest and rests slightly out of square. The same chair with a restored chip to the wood at the proper right front foot (approximately ³⁄₄ in.), very well concealed. An attractive pair, ready for display and use.
