Overall good condition. The doors and interior appear to be later replacements, harmonious with the overall design. Extreme edges present with wear throughout, commensurate with age. Walnut elements present with evidence of a historic varnishing with scattered areas of pooling near the extreme edges. Walnut top presents with areas of sun fading, concentrated to the proper left third. Proper left back corner of top with a small loss (approximately 1⁄4 in.), and another small loss to the walnut veneer in the center of the top (approximately 1⁄2 in. long). With a few patch repairs to the feet and with several reattached veneers scattered throughout. Small crescent-shaped area of infill to the walnut top near the proper right edge. Proper right foot with small loss to walnut veneer (approximately 1⁄2 x 1⁄2 in.). Parchment presents with areas of lifting, commensurate with normal aging of this material. One partial element of the gilt bronze face plate on the proper left door is not attached but retained with the piece. Gilt bronze elements present very well with scattered areas of very minor tarnishing. With six interior shelves in good condition.
