Designed in 1955 for the Helsingborg Exhibition in Sweden highlighting arts and crafts as luxury design, Ingeborg Lundin's 'Äpplet' vase soon became her most famous design. Two years later, this design was exhibited at the Milan Triennale in 1957 where it received a gold medal. The well deserved award highlights Lundin's vase as a beautiful representation of the organic Modernist design movement that grew after World War II.

Overall very good condition with scattered light surface scratches and minor abrasions, consistent with age and use. Presents with scattered burst bubbles, inherent to the making. Base presents with wear, commensurate with age and not visible when presented. Some dust inside the vase, not visually distracting. A goregeous vase, ready for display.
