拍品专文

Assuming the role of Artistic Director of famed Parisian fashion house Vionnet in 1924, Jean-Boris Lacroix continued to work closely with fashion houses throughout his career. Bally Shoe Company, a Swiss heritage brand, commissioned Lacroix around 1960 to design the present lot. Standing in good company, Bally partnered with various star designers and architects such as Le Corbusier, Robert Mallet-Stevens, and Lacroix to design stores and interiors throughout the 20th century. Best known for his lacquered metal shades in primary colors, the present lot is a special example of the artist incorporating secondary colors into his designs.
