The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall very good condition. The box is 5⁷⁄₈ in. long when open and fully extended. Base presents with wear to the gilt bronze, concentrated along the extreme edges, as to be expected from normal use. The interior of the lid presents with a small stress crack to the bronze (less than ¹⁄₄ in.), not visible when presented. With an adjacent stress crack (less than ¹⁄₄ in.) to the exterior of the lid above the text, well hidden. The interior most likely with a mirror plate, now lacking, exposing braces with visible soldering. Hinge in good working condition, gliding smoothly. Presents very well.
