The chromium-plated surfaces with minutes scratches, nicks and minor pitting, typical with aging of this material and not detracting to the overall appearance. The wrought iron elements of the andirons with losses and wear as expected from normal use. The ash shovel and poker with wear and stains concentrated to the extremities, consistent with gentle use. The set presents well, ready for display and use.
