FURTHER DETAILS
Produced by Pattyn Products Company in Detroit, Michigan, this lamp exemplifies the Art Deco and Machine Age movements of the 1930s, implementing a sleek, futuristic design with new materials such as Bakelite. Some have attributed this design to Walter von Nessen, and the model can be found in the permanent collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art (acc. no. 98.276.59), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (acc. no. 1998.537.42) and the Brooklyn Museum (acc. no. 85.78.2).
