Overall very good condition. The shade presents with tones of mottled amber, decorated by a band of swirling leaves in shades of green and hazel. The glass presents with very few minute inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The shade in very good condition with very minor surface dirt concentrated to recessed areas, a few minor light surface scratches and approximately 3 minor cracks to the glass tiles, stable, and only visible upon close inspection.
The base presents with a brown-green patina, with historic coating to the surface which is worn, particularly to the high points. The metal with minor areas of wear and scattered light surface scratches, including a more prominent "2" shaped scratch along the top of the base (approximately 1 x 11⁄2 x 2 in.) and a parallel 1 in. scratch above this. With scattered areas of very minor oxidation, typical with aging of this material. The four-light cluster with sockets that appear to be original with Perkins paddle switches. The patina on the light cluster and sockets has been enhanced at some point in the history of the piece. The wheel, riser, and heat cap appear to be original.
Please note that while the lamp appears to be in working condition, Christie’s does not guarantee the functionality of the electrical components.
