The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good condition with light surface scratches and minor wear commensurate with age and gentle use. The shade presents with mottled tones of amber glass. The central 'Turtle-Back' tile with nice iridescence and a stronger orange hue. The glass presents with minor surface irregularities, a very few minute inclusions, and very few scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The glass with light surface scratches, minor wear, and soiling concentrated to recessed areas. The glass with approximately five cracks, stable. The metal with a green brown patina, possibly enhanced at some point in the history of the piece. The metal surfaces with light scratches, minor wear, abrasions, and scattered areas of light oxidation typical with aging of this material. The upper metal trim has been adapted at some point in the history of the piece for later hanging and electrical hardware. Presents well and ready for display.
