Overall very good condition. The glass shades are an assembled set with four Favrile glass shades and six reproduction shades, each with a gold finish and rich iridescence. The glass presents with a few surface irregularities, including a few folds in the glass, very minute inclusions, and a few scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The shades with a few faint scratches, minor wear and minute edge chips along the mouth rim where the metal hardware rests, not visible when set in place. One shade with a minute scratch 1⁄4 in. near the lower quadrant, only visible upon very close inspection. The base presents with a deep brown patina with green overtones. The metal with a few faint surface scratches, very minor wear, and light oxidation typical with aging of this material. The arms of the lights are slightly bent as to be expected with this model. With very minor wear to the patina along the outer edges of the underside of the base, not visible when set in place. The 'lily pad' switch appears to be original with minor wear to the patina as to be expected with normal use. With replaced Bakelite sockets. The shades rest in place with the use of larger bulbs, however, the screws along the replaced sockets prevent the shades from resting within the nozzle. This can possibly be addressed by a professional electrician. Please contact the department for further information. Presents well and ready for use and display.
Please note that while the lamp appears to be in working condition, Christie’s does not guarantee the functionality of the electrical components.
