The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall very good condition. The glass shades are an assembled set with three Favrile glass shades and seven reproduction shades, each with a gold finish and rich iridescence. The glass presents with a few surface irregularities, including a few folds in the glass, very minute inclusions, and a few scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The shades with a few faint scratches, minor wear and minute edge chips along the mouth rim where the metal hardware rests, not visible when set in place. One shade with minor spots of oxidation in the glass, inherent in the making and only visible upon very close inspection. One reproduction shade with two adjacent restored cracks (one 11⁄2 x 11⁄2 in. and one 1 x 1 in.) along the top rim. One reproduction shade with a T-shaped restored crack (1 x 1⁄4 in.) near the top rim. The base with a gilt finish with scattered areas of wear and minor loss to the finish. The metal with a few faint surface scratches, very minor wear, and light oxidation typical with aging of this material. The arms of the lights are slightly bent as to be expected with this model. With eight porcelain sockets and two replaced Bakelite sockets. One porcelain socket with a minor loss (1⁄2 x 1⁄4 in.), yet stable. With a later National paddle switch. Presents well and ready for use and display.
