The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good condition consistent with age and use. There is a variation in the patination across each element in the desk set. The surfaces with light scratches, minor abrasions, dirt to recessed areas, and scattered areas of light oxidation. One blotter end with white adhesive residue to the underside, not visible when in place. The other with ink stains to the underside, also not visible when in place. The rocker blotter with additional wear to the handle and scattered ink stains to the underside, commensurate with age and gentle use. The letter scale with minor nicks and rubbing to the patina. The inkwell with a small area of adhesive residue (approximately ¹⁄₄ x ³⁄₄ in.) near the top. Interior to inkwell with ink stains and dirt, commensurate with gentle use. With a later glass inset replacement that is of a smaller diameter. Presents well and ready for display
