The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good condition. The metal surfaces present with minor abrasions, minor wear, scratches, and some scattered light oxidation, typical with age and use. Some of the outer edges with minor white paint drips, only visible upon close inspection. With minor wear to the patina. The leather upholstery with minor wear, scratches, minute tears, and soiling. The extreme edges of both chairs with yellowing and browning to the leather, as to be expected from normal handling, subsequently historically painted to mask the discoloration. One chair with an area (2 x 1³⁄₄ in.) of discoloration along the backrest. The underside of the seat panels with discoloration from contact with metal. The front of the seat with some separation to the upholstery, not visible when cushion is set in place. The stitching along the armrests with some minor separation, stable.
