The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to its reverse and seems to be securely attached to the support. There are soft creases in places. There are tears in places to the edges of the work, the most prominent of which is to the bottom edge. The edges are deckled and the top right edge is slightly lifting. There are signs of foxing in places throughout. The surface of the work is slightly undulating.
