The work is not lined. The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is paint loss to the face of the figure holding the child. The work appears to have been varnished. No further apparent condition issues.
When examined under ultra-violet light, there are possibly several areas with re-touching scattered in places. The work appears to have been varnished. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the present work is in generally good condition.
