The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. There are faint handling marks in places along the edges. There are scattered hairline craquelures in places, most notably to the lower and upper left quadrants. There are a few pinpoint red surface accretions in places to the centre of the work and pinpoint signs of oxidation. There is a pinpoint paint loss near the upper right corner. No further apparent condition issues.
When examined under ultra-violet light, there are signs of in-painting in scattered in places (most notably to the moon, to the lower left and the upper right) . The work has been restored recently.
