Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is laid down on board. There are artist’s pinholes to the upper corners and lower right corner. There is some rubbing to the corners with associated losses. There are creases to the upper left and lower corners with associated lifting and an associated minor tear to the paper in the upper left corner. There is a linear abrasion above the lower horizontal edge with associated losses to both the medium and the paper. There is a linear drip mark to the left half of the composition that has affected the medium. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
