The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The corners are covered by the frame. There is a soft layer of surface dust. There are some minor handling marks and some soft rubbing in places, primarily to the extreme vertical edges. There are minor cracks to the thicker impasto, primarily in the yellow and dark green and brown passages. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
