The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is hinged to along the edges on the reverse to its window mount. There is some minor rubbing in places, predominantly to the upper half of the composition. There are minor drying cracks to the thicker impasto with some associated pinpoint paint losses in places, most visible to the turquoise impasto in the lower left quadrant. There are some small water marks in places, most visible to the figure. There are scattered small points of discolouration within the paper caused by humidity, this has also promoted some foxing as seen on the verso. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
