The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is laid down on card. There are artist’s pinholes to the upper and lower right corners. There are tears with associated losses to the sheet in the upper right corner, lower corners and extreme edges. There are repaired tears, scattered hairline creases and linear abrasions across the composition with associated pinpoint paint losses, most visible in the upper half and lower right quadrant. There is minor lifting with associated pinpoint paint losses predominantly in the upper right quadrant and some further scattered paint losses in the lower right quadrant. There are some minor water marks in the centre of the composition, presumably in keeping with the artist’s working method. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
