The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is tape along the turnover edges. There is minor rubbing to the corners with minor associated paint losses to the upper left corner, lower left corner. There are some further paint losses to the centre of the upper extreme horizontal edge and the lower horizontal edge. There is a small deformation to the right of the upper horizontal extreme edge. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing it is our view that the work appears to be in very good condition.
