The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The work is structurally sound. There is a thin layer of surface dust. There are losses to the left corners, the lower right corner and the centre of the right vertical edge of the panel. There are some minor paint losses to the beige passages near the upper horizontal edge and near the lower left corner. There is a minor loss to the impasto peak right of centre and some scattered fine cracks to the thicker impasto. There are a few small brown accretions in places, the largest in the upper right quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
