Not examined out of frame. The work is structurally sound. The extreme edges of the board are covered by the frame. There is some minor rubbing with associated pinpoint paint losses to the edges, most visible around the nails. There are some scattered minor abrasions and pinpoint paint losses, most visible in the lower left quadrant. There is a small area of fine cracks in the blue passage in the upper left quadrant. There are minor drying cracks to the dark brown passage to the centre of the lower horizontal edge. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
