The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some rubbing to the extreme edges with associated pinpoint paint losses in places, predominantly to the upper horizontal and right vertical extreme edges. There are a few other pinpoint paint losses in places to the composition, the one most visible located near the lower right corner. When examined under ultraviolet light, spots to the upper and lower horizontal edges, predominantly near the upper left and lower right corners, fluoresce in a manner consistent with retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
