Not examined out of frame. The work is structurally sound. There are artist's pinholes with associated pinpoint paint losses to the lower left quadrant. There are some minor losses to the board in the lower centre and the lower vertical extreme edge. There is some minor rubbing to the darker passages in places. There are some linear abrasions in places, the largest measuring approximately 8in. in length, presumably in keeping with the artist's chosen medium. When examined under the ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
