The work is structurally sound. There is a minor crack to the upper left corner and a pinpoint paint loss to the lower left corner. There are some minor linear abrasions with associated pinpoint paint losses in places, the largest measuring 3in. in length. There are some minor indentations in places, two with associated hairline cracks to the centre of the upper horizontal edge and lower right quadrant. There are some pinpoint accretions to the left half of the composition. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
