The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. There is a minor loss to the wood to the centre of the lower horizontal edge of the artist's frame. There are minor paint losses in places to the artist's frame, the largest to the upper right corner. There are minor surface abrasions and marks in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There are some pinpoint accretions to the centre of the composition and a minor loss the plate in the lower right quadrant. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our view, that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
