The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing to the lower right corner and the upper horizontal turnover edge with pinpoint associated paint losses. There is a minor loss to the impasto in the lower right quadrant and some further minor losses to the impasto in the lower left quadrant. There is accretion to the lower centre. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
