The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas is laid on board. There are minor cracks to the thick impasto in the red passage to the left of the composition with a few associated pinpoint paint losses. There is a minor linear abrasion to the right vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
