The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear in generally good condition. There is rubbing with associated paint losses along the turnover edges. There are stretcher bar marks and indentations to the upper and lower horizontal edges with associated paint losses to the lower horizontal edge. There are scattered hairline cracks in places, predominantly to the blue and green passages. There are minor watermarks and pinpoint paint losses in places throughout. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching.
