The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some minor rubbing to the extreme edges with pinpoint associated paint losses in places to the lower corners. There are minor tension cracks to the extreme edges with pinpoint associated paint losses in places, predominantly to the centre of the right vertical extreme edge and lower horizontal edge. There is some pinpoint lifting to the upper left quadrant and some minor hairline cracks in the left half of the composition with an associated pinpoint paint loss in the lower left quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
