The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet
- very pale, unobtrusive scattered foxing along the margins, very pale light-staining
- three pinpoint stains in the image
- a small, unobtrusive, flattened crease at the tip of the lower right corner and occasional, soft and unobtrusive handling creases at the sheet edges, a 2-mm. nick at the upper left corner
- a few areas with skinning and traces of an old hinge at the upper left corner on the reverse
