The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- with wide margins, probably the full sheet, with one deckle edge below
- some very pale toning at the sheet edges
- a few very pale pinpoint stains on the image at lower right, scattered pale brown spots at the extreme lower sheet edge
- a soft handling crease at the upper left sheet edge
- hinged at the upper sheet edge on the reverse
