The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet, deckle edges above and below, generally in very good condition
- some small traces of brown pigment in a thin line between the forehead and the nose of the woman
- a small and unobtrusive paper flaw on the right temple of the woman
- a rectangular area of light-staining on the reverse associated with the aperture showing Mourlot's inscription
- remains of paper hinges and associated minor skinning at the sheet edges on the reverse
Otherwise as described in the catalogue and generally in very good condition, framed.
